Berlin, 24 October 2022: Following a $50 million Series B funding round led by Canaan in June, WorkMotion, the leading HR-tech platform for global employment, has announced the appointment of Matthew Jennison. He joins WorkMotion as Head of Sales UKI to help more companies across the UK and Ireland navigate the complexity of compliantly hiring and onboarding talent globally. Matt and his team are also enabling UK businesses to drive talent attraction and retention by offering workations to their employees.
Having begun his career as a Financial Analyst, Matt soon discovered his love for working more closely with clients, and swapped his Excel spreadsheets for a phone and desk in the recruitment industry. Following a move to Dubai in 2005, he soon progressed from individual contributor to growing a team of consultants and opening a new office in Abu Dhabi as the Middle East experienced rapid growth. He has since built and led sales teams in the learning, HR consultancy and SaaS sectors, and set up his own fully remote marketing communications consultancy with entities in Dubai and London.
Maarten Dermul, Chief Revenue Officer WorkMotion: “Matt brings a wealth of sales leadership experience, driving revenue growth for SaaS and Service businesses, and extensive knowledge of the challenges and trends within the HR community. He joins as we continue to scale our UK and Ireland presence, bringing the benefits of the WorkMotion HR platform to companies seeking access to a global talent pool, without the complexity and compliance risks they have historically had to contend with.”
Matthew Jennison: “I’m a passionate advocate for remote work, where mums and dads can be more available for their children, families and friends spend more time together, and individuals can explore the world, and continue their careers at the same time. WorkMotion’s easy-to-use HR Tech platform and services are a catalyst for this, and I’m looking forward to helping more companies navigate the complexity of hiring and onboarding talent globally, and enabling them to attract and retain the best talent, by offering workations to their employees.”
