Treasury Intelligence Solutions (TIS) offers a cloud based platform helping global organizations to optimize outbound payments. Corporations, banks, and business vendors leverage TIS to transform how they connect global accounts, collaborate on payment processes, execute outbound payments, analyze cash flow and compliance data, and improve critical outbound payment functions. TIS workforce has been growing fast in the previous 12 months and with many of their employees being in the Engineering Team they are also affected by the war for talent in Germany.
TIS has been looking for a Product Owner with a specific skill set for a few months and couldn’t find a top talent locally. After a while the perfect candidate was recruited in Poland.
However, the candidate didn’t want to relocate to Germany in the midst of the COVID pandemic. Our client and the candidate agreed that the candidate could work from Poland for the following year and then would relocate to Greater Heidelberg Area.
TIS then evaluated the option of opening up an own entity in Poland to ensure the candidate can be hired compliantly. However, due to the situation and effort involved they decided against it
Moreover a freelance contract was no option for TIS because of compliance risks and because the candidate was currently employed with a polish contract which included access to the polish health insurance. Since this was at the time when the first vaccines were approved and the candidate wanted to remain in his insurance in order to be able to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
TIS needed a quick solution that enables the candidate to remain in his health insurance and gives him enough security to resign from his current job.
TIS decided that partnering with WorkMotion is the best solution for hiring their Product Owner in a timely and compliant manner so WorkMotion contracts were shared with them. 16 days after the framework contracts were settled the candidate signed the local Polish employment contract and started working for TIS two weeks later. (Also he received his Corona vaccination a few months later)
04.02 – First call with WorkMotion to understand the situation
05.02 – Second call to discuss specifics of hiring in Poland and sent proposal
08.02 – Shared with client the first draft of framework contract
10.02 – Called with the client and the employee
16.02 – Data security questions from the client were discussed
26.02 – The CTO added another data transfer clause the contract, the framework contracts were send via Docusign and signed on the same day
01.03 – Datasheet from the employee was ready on WorkMotion Platform
14.03 – The employee and WorkMotion signed contract
01.04 – The employee started working for the client
TIS could compliantly hire their talent within a short period of time and without establishing a legal entity in Poland. The talent received his vaccination without any delays because he could stay in his health insurance. WorkMotion still ensures that the talent receives his salary on time and that social security contributions and taxes are paid according to local labor law. TIS’s HR department has the time to focus on more strategic tasks than payroll and Polish labor law.
“The cooperation with Workmotion correlates with our mantra: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. We are astonished how much importance they place on compliance whilst enabling a fast onboarding of our employees abroad.”
